Stage I – HORN MANURE
Performance / approx. 1 hour
31st October 2009
Fresh cow dung is placed inside cow horns and buried throughout the winter at a depth of around 80-100 cm. Through burying the horn manure is transformed into a humus with a high fertilizer potential. During the spring, it has to be dynamized in water, and spread in drops on the ground. The horn manure acts as a catalyst of forces to stimulate natural living phenomena.
A spiral of riverbed stones was arranged around the hole. The spiral is a symbol of life and of the cyclical times of nature, which we need re-appropriate to recover a relationship between man and the earth. It expresses the generating process necessary for the activation of the substances.
