A house for art and research in the Carpathian Mountains, Romania.
A research project aimed at developing ecological thinking from the experience of a rural environment.
Intersecția is an informal art space in the south-eastern Carpathians, Transylvania. It is an independent project based on hospitality, conviviality and sharing, which takes place in the house of my maternal grandparents, in the small village of Brădet, Întorsura Buzăului, where I invite artists for a period of research during the summer.
The invitation is to live in and engage with a rural environment, exploring the pastures and forests around the village, in an attempt to deconstruct our habits of urban thinking and rethink the interrelationship of humans with the environment from an ecological point of view, learning from the meadows, trees, animals, mushrooms, wind and each other’s interrelationships.
